Nic, I think Folah is trying to say that since "adam" means mankind as well as the human being named Adam that the generation of "man" hasn't ended thus meaning that Jsus' "prophecy" can still come true.

You almost nailed it except for the words highlighted.

The day Adam and Eve ate that fruit all mankind died (from Hashem's POV of course). All GUESSES as to the exact nature of that death is irrelevant, fact is all men died that day -from Hashem's POV. But Adam and Eve were still breathing -dead men walking (again from Hashem's POV).

From man's POV anyone who is no longer breathing is DEAD but from Hashem POV they are only SLEEPING/RESTING. Hence Lazarus is not dead but sleeping; let the DEAD (Adam's kids who are all dead from Hashem's POV) bury their DEAD (the ones no longer breathing). David's prayer (ps.13:3) that he not be left to sleep the sleep of death VS an ORDINARY NAP.
(HASHEMspeak 101).

From Hashem's POV the generation of the DEAD (Adam's kids) ENDS when God (the King) "gives birth" to His firstborn Israel, the Prince (Eze.40+) the firstborn of the ressurection -generation of the LIVING (from Hashem's POV) starts.

Ps: past bedtime, Id finish up soon.
