Chaim ben Yaakov
I am just getting to this: "If Jesus knew in advance what would happen in his name, then he is far and away the most evil ba$tard who ever lived on this planet, bar none, and eternal hellfire wouldn't be enough for him."
You know, Chaim, putting a symbol in place of the S does not make it any less harsh of an insult. If I used that kind of language to refer to any rabbi of Judaism (not that I would want to), Uri would have me out on my ear, but somehow, you can use that language to refer to my Savior and the moderators don't utter a peep of reproof

Do you not agree that JUST these inclusions would have been enough to prevent untold millions of senseless murders? This is not to say no murders in Jesus' name would have happened, but you'd have to admit most would have been avoided. Jesus would have done his job had he known in advance.

"Love your neighbour as yourself" and "Love your enemies" alone are enough for any true follower of Jesus NOT to commit any of those atrocities against the Jews just as "Do not touch My anointed ones, and do not harm My prophets"(1CH.16:22 JPT) should have been enough to make anyone (who fear God) treat any prophet like an eggshell.
Therefore there's no guarantee any of the phrases proposed for Jesus would have worked.
The fact that Jesus did not use any of the proposed phrases or even outrightly prevent those atrocities if He could (Christians believe He can) is consistent with Hashem's behaviour. Hashem sometimes allow evil to happen for reasons we mortals don't FULLY know. However the worst that could happen to anyone is DEATH (Human POV) but to Hashem they merely went to SLEEP -He will WAKE His own to glory in the ressurection (Dan.12:2). No amount of pain God's people may suffer now (TEMPORARY) is comparable to that coming (ETERNAL) glory (Hashem's POV).
Jesus made it clear that satan (definiton of satan is irrelevant to my point here) is the ruler of this world even as at now -don't know Judaism stand on this. Hashem doesn't ALWAYS intervene to prevent him from carrying out his agenda against Hashem's people. However there's an appointed time (IMMINENT) when the rulership/dominion of this world will change hands Dan.7:12-14. Then the Lord will judge the GENTILES for all the atrocities committed against His people.
