Thomas:
Quote:
In John 7:10, which you say means Jsus went in secret, it says Jsus went "as it were" in secret (snip)

LOL, boy talk about parsing words! "as it were" in secret is STILL in secret. He still LIED to his followers.

Quote:

KJV: But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.

NIV: However, after his brothers had left for the Feast, he went also, not publicly, but in secret.

NASB: But when His (A)brothers had gone up to the feast, then He Himself also went up, not publicly, but as if, in secret.

Young's Literal Translation: And when his brethren went up, then also he himself went up to the feast, not manifestly, but as in secret;

NIRV: When his brothers had left for the Feast, he went also. But he went secretly, not openly.

Quote:
John 7:11 Now at the Feast the Jews were watching for him and asking, "Where is that man?"

Where was he, Thomas? He was THERE. Why didn't he stop lying and show himself??? No, he continues to lie and not say anything until the feast is half over (John 7:14).

Having lied he continues to lie but not showing himself as being there (which destroys your argument that he didn't lie). He lied saying he wouldn't go and going. He lied by going and not "showing himself" but hiding.

Two lies in one!

There are other lies as well. How about

"If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true" (John 5:31)

Yet later he insists that he alone can bear witness for himself. Which is it? Which one is the lie -- is it John 5:31 or John 8:18?
