Thomas,
I know you have answered many 'questions" in the past, some with a reasonable opinion, others with speculation.

Quote: "However, please don't take sides with the skeptical atheists, either against the Tanach or against the NT. "

I will never take sides with the skeptical atheists. I do depend though on "learned" scholars of the Hebrew language.

There is one thing you always have to remember. 99% of the Tanach was written in Hebrew. To whom else other than people who understand the Hebrew language shall anyone refer to? You wouldn't ask an Italian to interpet Buddah's writings would you?

It is very clear to me that the writers of the nt tried in vain to "incorporate" the Tanach into their writings. It is also very clear to me that they didn't do a very good job, and had another agenda in mind when they did so.

What I find hard to grasp is that you are totally convinced there are NO mistakes or contradictions in the nt in reference to the Tanach or within itself.
