STEREOTYPING makes you interprete my post the way you do e.g You assumed I believe in the TRINITY.
That I have the same beliefs as a TYPICAL evangelical or so called Christian fundamentalist.
That's why I said I can understand how you interprete my posts the way you do.
No Folah, really, I did not assume that. Actually Id already seen where you have stated otherwise, in a number of posts. What I said was that that is what
your statement said
, and that is why I asked if you might want to rephase your statement to say spirit of G-d. Because whether it means that to you or not, to many people xian and non-xian - the term Holy Spirit has come to carry the connotation of the third person of the triniitarian-xian trinity. Thats why it says in the Wiki quote above that Judaism generally no longer uses the term, even though it originally was theirs, and now uses different terms to refer to the spirit of G-d in order to avoid that Christian connotation.
You still have not said if this is okay with you, but suppose for the moment we do
rephase your statement
to Gideon,
from
For you to SEE/KNOW Jesus is God requires that you understand the TANACH to a VERY HIGH LEVEL -and that
requires the Holy Spirit
.
To
For you to SEE/KNOW Jesus is God requires that you understand the TANACH to a VERY HIGH LEVEL -and that

Maybe you dont feel that rephase is necessary, but even so, does it still reflect what you wanted to say? Now we have removed the trinity connotation, which you said was not your intention anyway. It no longer says that you need the Holy Spirit before you can understand the Tanach, but it now says that understanding the Tanach via the spirit of G-d will cause a person to be a [type of] xian: one who believes Jsus is G-d. And though not all xians believe that, I think we can safely say that all who believe that are Christians. So were back to saying that the only proper way to understand the Tanach is as a [type of] xian whether that xianity comes before, or from, the reading.
Its bad enough that this sounds like its saying that the Jewish folks who read the Tanach their own scriptures are missing enough of this element of the spirit of G-d to be able to reach the
VERY HIGH LEVEL
of understanding. But on top of that, how do you explain the people who, as xians, read the Tanach and then turn away from xianity to believe and follow Judaism?
