You raise an excellent point!
That is why it is imperative that we watch what comes out of our mouths and what goes in.

G-d is willing to accept what we have, as we are, because we do not have a flock of mouths to choose from. We only have the one.
But then He'll expect us to grow. To appreciate prayer more and more, and to value the 'tool' we use for that task.

You can't expect to use a kitchen knife to screw screws and scrape paint and then use it to cut.
Similarly, we can't use our mouths for whatever we want and then expect it to cut through the heavens in prayer.

And, [if you'll forgive me] who on earth would use a knife to clean the grout around their toilet bowl and then use it for their meal.
Well, you'd be surprised how that very same person would spew filth from their mouth and then expect to use it to talk to G-d.

G-d is willing to hear anything from anyone if they're reaching out to Him in earnest.
And then there is an expectation to grow which , in this case, means clean up our language and conversation.

The Torah calls Yishmael 'pereh adam.' Not a man who appears wild but wild who appears a man.
