The name that appears in N'ḥemyah 8:17 is יֵשֽׁוּעַ בִּן־נוּן Yéshu'a bin Nun with the yod clearly vowelled with tzéré, making it sound like “yay”; the apostrophe that you insist on interpolating after the initial “Y” can in no way indicate this sound (an apostrophe in place of a vowel in transliteration can only indicate the vowel diacrtitic שְׁוָא נָע or “sh'va mobile”). I seriously doubt you ever “studied in Eretz Yisraél at university” but, if you did, it is a pity that you never learned how speak, and pronounce, our language properly. It is simply NOT TRUE that “Hebrew University archaeolgists apply the name ‘Y'shua’ to J-sus”.However, I am at a loss to understand why you should wish to insult Yisraél to an even greater extent by hijacking and falsely attributing to your vile “man-god” the name of our second greatest leader ever, who died in about 1410BCE?
