Is it possible that in John 6  (Jesus) spoke metaphorically? . . .
Metaphor or literal it is disgusting to Jews who are forbidden from eating any blood -- symbolically or literally.

When (Jesus) said, "For my flesh is MEAT* indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him..." clearly (from context) is it possible he could have merely meant, . . .
Now you are making up your own "oral tradition" and assuming what you THINK it meant, ignoring what it clearly says.

like the manna G-d sent from heaven during Israel's wilderness wandering) am the source of heavenly deliverance amid this desolate world"?
Mana was kosher -- it was NOT meat, let alone human meat or blood (symbolic or otherwise) which is forbidden and disgusting (but very pagan -- look up Mithraism. . .).

One might also note that the serpent that Moses lifted up in the wilderness was mad of bronze (not meat). So again, might  (Jesus) reference to it have been a metaphor for faith: "Israel, trust in me for deliverance just as you did when you trusted in the bronze serpent"?.
No one called the serpent a god or a son of a god.

No one ate the serpent or its blood, symbolically or otherwise.

The serpent was destroyed when people began to misuse it -- perhaps the same should be done to Jesus?  Perhaps believers in G-d should throw Jesus away since they are worshiping him instead of G-d. . .
