Alesiah,

You are ignoring the other references to eating flesh and drinking blood. As I recall, this was said at the "last supper?" and there was no "miracle" in that place.

On a side note: If  the Xtian is believing in this religion because of miracles, I suggest you check your theology, because miracles by any man mean nothing.

Yes, I'm quite aware of the upper room discourse (John 13-17 where this teacher from Nazareth also referred to himself as "the way, the truth and the life" and "the true vine") and of the account in Luke where he spoke of the matzo as "my body which is given for you" and the third cup of the Seder as "the new covenant in my blood".  This man was not (according the Xian teaching) the son of a man, nor was he a vine, nor a cracker, nor was his blood a cup of grape juice -- these (as I understand it) are all metaphors.  (But honestly, I'm not all that troubled if the Pope disagrees with me.)

As for your point that miracles mean nothing: I must disagree.  Xianity stands or falls on the issue of the miracle of resurrection.  If the man Xianity claims to be the Messiah is still dead, then so is the entire Xian faith.  So at least that one miracle "matters".

I have a proposition for you: If you will refrain from informing Xians what we must believe to be Xian, then I will refrain from informing Jews what you must believe to be Jewish.
