I speak and read only English, so I'm not the person to explain the true Aramaic name of this man.  I do know that the Greek (which after all, is all we really have to go on) is transliterated into the Roman alphabet as IESOUS.  My understanding has been that this was just the common Greek rendering of the Hebrew name "Joshua" (as translated by the King James version), but feel fre to correct me.
