As I said, the right question entails a change of worldview, such that the wrong question vanishes.

Since the Forum seems dead today, I am posting here.  My personal belief

*******PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS GIDEON MAGE'S OPINION.  HE IS NOT TEACHING JUDIASM OR INTERPRETING THE TANACH IN THIS POST*********

goes as follows...nothing whatsoever can interfere with the will of God.  Nada, ayn davar, zilch, rien, nichego.  End of story.  If Xians murdered an entire race of Native Americans, for a charming, typical example of Xian "Mercy", since the tribe had refused to give thousands of years of tradition to kiss the cross and bow down before you-know-who, it either:
#1  fulfilled God's plan (probably not)
or
#2  did not interfere with God's plan (more likely).

Could Yoshke have prevented it?  Who knows?  Did he have a clue it would happen?  No!

A major additional example was the Holocaust.  I have posted this thought before on this Forum.  It happened, it was horrible, and Kinnahurah, may it not happen again.  However, perhaps, just perhaps, such a tragedy was necessary for the re-founding of Eretz Yisrael?  Just a theory, nothing more.
