Proteus, you are distorting what I have written.  My point is and has been that Marcion did not know of a human Jesus and that it is just as plausible that he was the fore-runner to Paul as the reverse.  The point is there are NO FACTS to support the Christian version of  a real Jesus, while there are some interesting facts that support the mythological one.     The fact that the early Christians did not call Jesus a messiah and in the case of Marcion didn't even think of a human being speaks volumes.   It seems that you are trying to blame me for pointing out a historical fact!

Back to Isaiah 51 -- again read it IN CONTEXT and it becomes clearer.  Remember that what is important to G-d is our righteousness and our willingness to learn from our mistakes (and to repent when we do err).   Isaiah 51 is saying that the Jews are a light unto the nations and that when non-Jews are open to instruction they can learn and grow spiritually.   Again from Artscroll (quoted in its entirety in an earlier post):

4 Pay attention to Me, My people; give ear to Me, My nation; for instruction  (תֹורָה֙) will come forth from Me
and My judgement will be a light for peoples, to whom I will give rest.

Non -Jews have always had a path to G-d (go back and read about Solomon's temple and the dedication of same).   The way to G-d is by turning to Him (not to idols) and not just by "faith" but by deeds and actions.  Learn from his instructions (תֹורָה֙ -- Torah).    Still the point of Isaiah 51 is to comfort the Jews who have been mistreated at the hands of the non-Jews.
