My post was quite clearly about the Torah stating that a Jew should not change his beliefs based upon miracles. Christians want to convince us about their faith because of miracles. You have not addressed that issue.
Zvi, my basis for attempting to convince any Jew of Jesus' identity has absolutely nothing to do with miracles, partly because, as I've said repeatedly, I don't happen to know of any recent miracles that would be able to do that, but mostly because I think Hebrew scripture and world history do a much better job of it.  You seem to feel secure in the knowledge that the prophets "provided guidance on how Judaism could survive without a Temple", but for the average person, it's just one of those don't-ask-don't-tell subjects.  They don't know or care what the issue or solution really s; they just know it doesn't involve Jesus.

By the way - this isn't a statistic I pull out of thin air.  I use the word "average" quite scientifically, based on my conversations with countless Jewish friends and family members over the past 25 years.  Absolutely nobody has ever mentioned Hosea in this discussion. They just love being Jewish, and they know that means staying away from Jesus, and that's about all they know.

But look - if I hear a report of a spectacular verifiable miracle - like Jesus coming with the clouds of heaven, as he said he would - I might come and find you.  You say it wouldn't convince you, because of all you know about Hebrew scripture, but I'd be interested in seeing your response just the same.  And please - you do me that same courtesy, won't you?
