Dougg is back?

That's strange, I thought he predicted the end of the world back a few years ago? I guess he is working on a new theory now. smiley: wink

SMR, Big Bird has a song on Sesame Street called "Everyone Makes Mistakes".  Perhaps Doug used those so-called 360-day "prophetic years" that Christians employ in their 70-weeks calculations that lead to the arrival of "you know who"...smiley: pimp

Hi Uri, SMR is referring to something else, which my explanation would be inappropriate for this board.

Regarding the 70 weeks timing, I personally am not satisfied with any of the various calculations because there are complications due to human interference in dates of the CE numbering  and the cross referencing to the Jewish counting of the historic milestones.

So my post to Sophiee, my intent was never going anywhere in that regards.     Perhaps 2000 years ago, when those complications did not exist, things would have been more clear.   But now in our day, to me, it is a big tangle of information too complicated for me to figure out and come to a satisfactory explanation.

My understanding from what I have heard from Judaism is that the 2000 year diaspora was due to unwarranted hatred between Jews.   I am not voicing my own opinion in that regards, just parroting.    My question was to ask if there is additional explanation beyond that given, which would be more attached to the way them at the time treated God - given that was the prime reason for both the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities and to correspond to what it is written Ezekiel 39:23 ........... the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.

The Hebrew bible may read different.   If it does significantly or otherwise, I would be most interested if someone could provide a copy and paste.

If there is not a further Jewish explanation available, then fine, I have no intent to extend my question.

Regarding the original thread post, no I am not mohammad.   And I don't know of anything that can be determined to take place in 2036.
