The text.......(from the Jewish link Tanach)   btw, Chaim says "an" anointed one, the link translation says "the".

Douggg, I released your post to Chaim even though it comes almost 9½ years later (I also corrected a typo in my preceding post).

One of the basic problems with your analysis is that you're working from a translation.  Although the Judaica Press Tanach (JPT) is generally a very good translation, it isn't perfect.  It is the Hebrew text that must be considered here as the original text.  In the case of verses 25&26 that you've quoted from the JPT, the JPT has the definite article "the" in front of "anointed", while the Hebrew text doesn't have the definite article "הַ" in front of "מָשִׁיחַ".  I will reproduce below the two verses in the original text and highlight the word "מָשִׁיחַ [maSHI'ah] as well as all the explicit instances of the definite article "הַ\הָ" connected with other words in those two verses, which should illustrate to you what I'm trying to explain -
[The Hebrew definite article will take on different vowels depending on the vocalized letter that follows it, so don't be concerned with the two different instances seen in the above verses.]

Another of the problems with your analysis is that you are unable to determine the sentence punctuation marks, since those are determined by the trope markings on the original Hebrew text.  The separation between the 7 weeks and 62 weeks is clear, and Chaim's analysis is consistent with every other legitimate analysis by knowledgeable Jews, even including this one from someone whose knowledge you seem to respect.

P.S. - It was pointed out to me that I made a mistake (which was inadvertent on my part) by referring to the text in Daniel 9 as Aramaic - it is Hebrew, and I made the necessary corrections above.  The Aramaic portion of Daniel is 2:4b-7:28.

Our raison d'être:

WHOSOEVER DESTROYS A SINGLE SOUL OF ISRAEL, SCRIPTURE IMPUTES [GUILT] TO HIM AS THOUGH HE HAD DESTROYED A COMPLETE WORLD; AND WHOSOEVER PRESERVES A SINGLE SOUL OF ISRAEL, SCRIPTURE ASCRIBES [MERIT] TO HIM AS THOUGH HE HAD PRESERVED A COMPLETE WORLD. (Babylonian Talmud, Tractate Sanhedrin, 37a)
