Douggg -- you continually change the subject -- the point was about the two time frames which I addressed.  Your continual harping on dating -- which dates back to the beginning of this thread NINE long years ago has been answered numerous times in those nine years.    You simply repeat the same question -- which after nine years is beyond exasperating.

No one ever said that you personally need to agree with the Jewish (and Biblical) POV, but asking the same question for the umpteenth time is not going to get you a different answer.  As Uri told you just a few days ago:

Douggg, I do not intend to get into a lengthy discussion with you over those issues, because they have already been covered in other Jewish presentations on Daniel 9.

So cease and desist.   This topic (in 2015) began with Uri explaining to you that the Hebrew text doesn't have the definite article "הַ" in front of "מָשִׁיחַ".   This means that there is no "the messiah" in Daniel 9.  He went on to reproduce the two verses in Hebrew to show you this.

He then explained that the definitive article ("ha" = "the") in Hebrew takes on different vowels depending on the vocalized letter that follows it.   Uri then mentioned punctuation marks.  Link to Uri's post.

Focusing on (I'm guessing) vowels and punctuation marks you replied
"the masorectic markings are fairly recent aren't they?"
And actually, no they are not -- the Masoretes began their work about 1200 years ago. . .

But Masoretes or no Masoretes the word "the" does not magically appear in Daniel 9.    I went back to Josephus, who lived 2000 years ago, to prove that the understanding of the Jews that Daniel 9 speaks of two messiahs, with the second one bringing about the destruction of the country pre-dates the Masoretes by 600 years or so.

So stop changing the subject.  The next post which does that will be deleted by me.   If you read the article by R' Shulman and have any new questions we will be happy to entertain them.  Repeating the same answers to your over NINE years is pointless in the extreme.  If you bothered to follow the links to very well researched and explained articles perhaps your endless repetition might end.
