Actually Uri,  I was not trying to make a distinction between Lord and God in my post.     

Allow me to clarify - Israel when ruled by King David, the True God was worshiped as god.     Thus the Kingdom of David, was identified as the Kingdom of God (the Lord)......  and not a Kingdom of false gods, like had become with the northern kingdom.
