Um, Max? Moses dun freed the slaves!

Nearly 80% of the Jews stayed behind in Egypt because they did not trust Moses. The ones who did follow him kvetched all the way.

They followed him because they witnessed G-d's miracles (killing of the first born, etc.) AND because he freed them.

But we are speaking of the covenant here -- the eternal covenant -- and we did not "trust" Moses. We did not "accept" him (many had doubts in him right up to entering Canaan -- otherwise why did they not go into Israel and ignore the spies bad reports?).

No it is a totally different standard. Moses died alone and is buried in a place unknown for the very reason that G-d didn't want us to turn him into a god or saint.

Moses was a man. Period.

In the same way it is up to the messiah to fulfill the prophecies -- EVERY single prophecy. If he is a learned and holy man in Torah he should be listened to and learned from but the word "accept" is totally an oxymoron. He is merely another servant of G-d's -- as are we all. Any of the miracles that occurs by his hand will be through the hand of G-d.

We do not worship human beings.
