SMR,
I think it is a good thing to remember that Paul didn't write books; he wrote letters to individual people and individual groups. I doubt very seriously he wanted his writings to be used as books. If so, he would have written in another method--not letters.
The very concept of "canon" to some Christians is something that will provide them a issue when trying to answer the question, BTW. Christians who view "canon" as meaning the set of works that was divinely inspired and were meant to be distributed {by God} to humans who desire to know what "God has to say" do exist. And it is my opinion that those who do are in the Christian majority.
To get an understanding of this Christian viewpoint, Google "How Do We Know Which Books Belong in The Bible?", Bob Reed, and OU Christian Faculty and Staff. {Copy and paste all of the items that I mentioned exactly as I have typed them out.}
Shalom,
Gretta
