Hi Searchingmyroots, I'm sorry, I didn't see your reply to my question; Please refresh my memory. How many disciples did the risen jc reveal himself to, what were their names and where did it take place? That will help me understand the 100% factor. Thanks.

What I am going to show is that Jesus chose 12 disciples.
And I am going to show that 11 of those disciples (the 12 minus Judas) met with Jesus after he was resurrected.

Jesus chose 12 disciples: John 6:70 klv Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

Those are the twelve disciples. After the resurrection, the disciples was referred to as apostles in the nt.

Now I am going to show that those apostles 100% met with Jesus after the resurrection. This is documented in Acts Chapter 1.

1:2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen :

"unto the apostles who he had chosen. Remember I just showed in John 6:70 Jesus had chosen 12. Okay, having identified the chosen apostles, we continue in verse 1:3 to see that they met with him after the resurrection.

(continued from verse 1.2.... unto the apostles whom he had chosen :1:3 To whom (that would be those same chosen 12 minus Judas) also he shewed himself alive after his passion (passion meaning death on the cross) by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

So in verse 1:3 above, for forty days, Jesus appeared to them and taught them the things that they were supposed to preach about the kingdom of God.

Those same apostles, in Acts 1, saw Jesus ascend to heaven, right after he given them their mission to preach about the kingdom of Go.

1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up *, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

So the apostles (the disciples) saw Jesus ascend up to heaven according to the nt. All of the apostles were from Galilee except for Judas.

Peace,
