It is a matter of available time. I am very busy outside of this forum. I frequent 3 or 4 Christian Bible prophecy discussion boards as well as a muslim site on occasion, plus my own ezboard. Plus, I spend time listening to Christian commentary on the end-times as well as Tamar and Tovia, and the other commentators at the Radio Israel site.

And yet you somehow manage to pop here in this forum and present either a different spin on issues that the moderators have already addressed, already settled or have already established the Torah's/Tanakh's position (i.e. the Isaiah 53 issue, the legitimacy of Jeesus' claims concerning his being G-d, the concept of Original Sin, Atonement--which seemed at one point to be a big hang up for you, etc.) You cite being busy, but amazingly, you continually recycle these topics (remember, Dougg, YOU started this thread!!).

However, whenever you are challenged and directly questioned on your stance AND your remarks on Judaism and the Torah itself, you, like Paul, duck, avoid, deflect or as you've done to my queries, simply ignore the question. Just look at the questions that were posed to you on this thread.. have you truly answered them??

Let's get real and straight up. It's not a matter of time, Dougg, it's a matter of selection. Anything that doesn't fit well with your "hit and run" schedule, you simply avoid. Anything that thwarts you and forces you concede to the fact that Jews are NOT going to stand for the old 'you sinner, me saint" rhetoric, you simply ignore it. And then sure enough within three to four weeks time, you simply restate it (rewording it differently) and your xian translation/understanding of various verses, chapters, passages, etc, though proven incorrect by the Moderators AS IT RELATES TO TORAH/G-D/JUDAISM, you posture as sacrosanct, an irrefutable axiom. The moderators again, repeat information that was already cited in other threads, strands, strings (some of which you had already started, weaved or embellished). You then call into question the legitimacy and the erudition of the scholars, sages, rabbis and most recently, Moses himself. With this comes the posturing of yourself much like Paul who challenged the Jewish authorities on the matters of the Torah; never mind he didn't know Hebrew, never mind he never even studied at the feet of Gamliel I but told all his xtian disciples and co-religionists how much of a Jewish scholar he was. I'm seeing the same tactic being used by you. And like I've said earlier, like Paul, you avoiding the questions posited to you.

Please keep in mind that I have the added difficulty of switching gears just for this site because I am not allowed to express myself freely like at those other sites. I have to package my comments within the tight rules regarding what's allowed and what is not. Every word I type, I must tightly scrutinize. You would be amazed at the amount of commentary that I simply delete before even the moderators get to see it. That and the research I must make to respond to "simple" questions takes time. Many times, I know the answers immediately, but to put my response in an acceptable form for this board is another matter.

GOOD!!! Maybe you should truthfully question your motives and your intent and your aim in your participation here. If you have to go through all of this "switching gears" before you put your comments on a Jewish Counter-Missionary forum, then it's NOT because the moderators here are being mean and looking for any infraction. It's becasue they will NOT tolerate the quoting of the GT ad nauseum nor MISquoting of the Tanakh's texts that you're freely getting away with posting on those other said forums. Just because there are rules on THIS Forum by which WE ALL have to abide by doesn't mean you're being singled out and it does NOT mean that you are the victim. You're playing the game in which, like always, you posture the moderators to be like image of the pharisees who are simply looking for infraction and "punishing" xians. Spare me. I've had a few of my posts either amended or simply not released. Do I get up in arms about it? NO! The Moderators are just doing their job and I trust their judgement and their rules. You're playing victim because YOU want the rules changed to accomodate YOUR missionizing schtick and it's truthfully unwarranted and simply a cop-out. If this forum is too strong for either you, your sensibilities or if it causes you SOOOOO much mental stress, then my question is simply, why come here? And if you know the answer, why ask the question? You want an opportunity to missionize and when thwarted, what? You go to the other forums and tell them how bad the moderators here are???

In addition, your questions are not "simple".. they are pointed, jagged and always with a hint of some religious arrogance. You simply WON"T accept the Jewish position on a lot things, even when it has NOTHING to do with your xianity. Here's the seven point formula I have noticed with you:

1. You posit a query that is pointed and challenges the Jewish position (or authority on anything-- case in point, this thread).
2. The moderators and others respond with proof AS IT RELATES TO TORAH/G-D/JUDAISM and then posit back questions for your review.
3. You ignore them all or simply select the ones that are most easy to answer from a xian polemic/"scriptural" standpoint.
4. You are again confronted with the original question. Along with proof as to the stance you had posted.
5. You again ignore the question or in this case, play the victim and push it back on those 'mean moderators" or in my case, accuse me of taking the thread down a pointless rabbit trail, which, while irritating, doesn't bother me because sure enough, someone will ask an EXCELLENT DIRECT question that contains elements of the question I had asked, but in a MUCH better formula!
6. The thread doesn't go anywhere for some time.
7. You then either start a new one where a strand from an existing thread is re-tooled and a "new" question is raised or you simply revisit the old thread but then take us down a new road.. it's called deflection.

You're not here to learn. It's obvious just by how many times Sophiee, in EXCELLENT fashion, reworked, re-tooled and re-explained the concept of Atonement. How many times did we go round and round and round on that one? And Prof. UriYosef has given us more than enough insight and simplification of various Hebrew concepts in the Torah/Tanakh and even the Talmud with respect to same five concepts you keep recycling. Do you honestly think we've not detected the same missionizing technique (though embedded in "simple" questions) over and over again in the various threads you've started, including this one? No, Dougg, it has become evident that you're not here to learn. You're trying to posit the xtian position as it relates to Judaism as fact.

I read Gretta's post - the same day she posted it. I will make a response when I get time. What is the date time and number of you post that you say I didn't address?

EVERY single question I raised to you, you failed to answer. NOT ONE has been addressed or even acknowledged. That says enough. And there are still questions on this thread you haven't even looked at. So if you want to play this game, fine. But it speaks volumes as to the game you're playing.

I am in agreement with the post made by SearchingmyRoots; proposing that NO question be answered by us until you answer the questions raised to you. It's a waste of our time and energy. Perhaps we should post the questions raised in this thread that were unanswered (I alone probably had about ten).

You cite how much a stressful situtation it is for you posit posts here and yet you think none of ours merit your consideration in light of your esteemed contemplatived diatribes. And that they take time. Yet you didn't think to extend that courtesy to Rabbi Daniel in the "Ask the Rabbi forum". I seem to remember you're getting a little testy when he didn't answer in either the time or in the fashion you had hoped. But again, you're the only victim here. Again, if this forum is TOO much of a stressful situation for you, then perhaps its time to move on. But I sincerely doubt that this will ever occur. And the rhetoric will continue. I am sure that at some point, someone, maybe a moderator, will say "enough is enough".
