MIDRASH INSIGHTS:

While the Books of Beraishis and Sh'mos were mostly Torah narratives, the Book of Vayikra deal quite a bit mitzvot and halacha. While Chachamim have cited various reasons for the mitzvot in the Sefer Chinuch, as well as in the Midrash, ONLY Hashem can TRULY comprehend the reason for all the mitzvot. Our observance of the mitzvot is not dependent on our understanding of the mitzvot, but on our emunah in Hashem (i.e. that Hashem gave us the mitzvot to observe for good reason).

"All Your mitzvos are emuna", Melech David, Tehillim 119:86).

"The basis for performing all the mitzvos is emuna in Hashem's commandments and not theories as to their reasons or justice." (Malbim)

Also, consider the following from Sefer Niflaos MiToras Hashem Yisbarach:

Quote:
Let us imagine that we lived in the days of Lemech's son Yuval (Beraishis 4:21). He was the inventor of the first musical instruments.

One day, while passing his house, we hear the sweet melody of a violin. Never having before heard such heavenly sounds, we enter and ask him, "How do you produce this wonderful music?"

Yuval points to his violin and replies, "Look at my violin! I nailed a flat piece of wood to a box to make a neck, and then strung some wire tightly from the neck across the open side of the chest. By stroking it with this bow, made from a horse tail, I produce musical sounds.

We laugh and exclaim in disbelief, "Don't tell us any fairy tales! What is the connection between your wooden chest with the horse tail and the melodious sounds which we just heard?"

And so it is with the mitzvot. Just like if we build instruments correctly, tune them correctly, and play them together, we can produce the most beautiful symphony, if we all (Klal Yisrael) observe the mitzvot, EVERY last one from the most minute to the most major details, we can produce the most beautiful symphony, ney LIGHT, and be a light unto the nations and help hasten the arrival of Moshiach speedily in our days:)
