I have often wondered about why did God appear to the Children of Israel on a mountian which appears to have it's name attached to "sin". Could it be that literal mountain represented the spiritual mountain of sin where God is on top of the mountain, and the sins of the Children of Israel (selected to be representative of the human race, of us all. I am not trying to pickon the Jews) piled so high before God?
Surely, that particular mountain, named so, was not chosen arbritarily.
