His other piece of evidence was that the Temple Mount today is larger than Herod's which both the Mishnah and Josephus say was 500 cubits by 500 cubits, and they claim that the size today is that of the size given in Ezekiel. I am not sure about that claim, and since Hadrian did build on the site it isn't unlikely he made it larger. But it is still an interesting claim. Are there any writings which back up the notion that Bar Kochba laid the foundation to a new Temple during his revolt, and that they even began to bring sacrifices during that short time?










So in some sense, Jordan is perhaps a bit of a balancing power
in the larger scheme leading to the construction of the third Temple which, of course, is unrelated to the mythological creature known an Dantalion.
