This allegoric hyperbole is part of a longer sequence of comments attributed to Rabbi Tarfon, a famous Tanna who flourished circa 100CE:

רַבִּי טַרְפוֹן אוֹמֵר: הַיּוֹם קָצָר, וְהַמְּלָאכָה מְרֻבָּה, וְהַפּוֹעֲלִים עֲצֵלִים, וְהַשָּׂכָר הַרְבֵּה, וּבַעַל־הַבַּיִת דּוֹחֵק. הוּא הָיָה אוֹמֵר: לֹא עָלֶֽיךָ הַמְּלָאכָה לִגְמֹר, וְלֹא אַתָּה בֶן־חֹרִין לְהִבָּטֵל מִמֶּֽנָּה. אִם לָמַדְתָּ תּוֹרָה הַרְבֵּה, נוֹתְנִין לְךָ שָׂכָר הַרְבֵּה; וְנֶאֱמָן הוּא בַּעַל־מְלַאכְתְּךָ, שֶׁיְּשַׁלֵּם לְךָ שְׁכַר־פְּעֻלָּתֶֽךָ. וְדַע, שֶׁמַּתַּן שְׂכָרָן שֶׁל צַדִּיקִים לֶעָתִיד לָבוֹא׃

Rabbi Tarfon used to say: "The day is short, there is much work to be done and the workers are lazy, yet the reward is great and the employer pressurises [us]"; he [also] used to say: "It is not your duty to complete the task, but you are also not free to refrain from it altogether; if you have learned much Torah they will give you much reward and your employer can be trusted to pay you your wages - but you should realise that the righteous will only receive the reward for their deeds in the hereafter." (Mishnah, Treatise Avot, end of chapter 2)

I always use SIL International's "Ezra SIL SR" font for posting Hebrew text on these forums. It can be downloaded from SILEOTSR.ttf.

The Society of Biblical Literature's "SBL Hebrew" font is another very nice one; you can get that one from SBL_Hbrw.ttf.

NOTE: do not use the left mouse-button when clicking either of the above two links; you'll get a screenful of garbage if you do!!! Instead, use the RIGHT mouse-button, choose Save file as..., and make sure that the file-names end with the letters ttf (change them to ttf if they are set to htm).

She just needs to instal the font. Uri uses Times New Roman, so his Hebrew text should already be displaying correctly.

I have never "turned on Hebrew encoding" in any of my browsers.

I never had to do it even on computers in the UK and USA.
