Scalia wrote:There are, undoubtedly, many Hebrew/English-English/Hebrew dictionaries edited/compiled by bi-lingual Jewish scholars, and these range from containing the "bare" minimum to "complete" sets of vocabularies for the two languages. The one I like best is "The Complete Hebrew English Dictionary" a 5-volume edition by Reuben Alcalay, which Amazon.com advertises for $149.00 (3 volumes English-Hebrew & 2 volumes Hebrew-English). There is also a 2-volume abbreviated edition by Reuben Alcalay. Both are published by the Hemed Books subsidiary of Yedi'ot Aharonot. There is another dictionary that is quite good, though not as complete. It is the "English-Hebrew/Hebrew English Dictionary" a single volume edition by Prof. M. Segal & Prof. M. B. Dagut, published by Kiryat Sefer Publishing House Ltd. of Jerusalem. UriYosef
Our raison d'être:
WHOSOEVER DESTROYS A SINGLE SOUL OF ISRAEL, SCRIPTURE IMPUTES [GUILT] TO HIM AS THOUGH HE HAD DESTROYED A COMPLETE WORLD; AND WHOSOEVER PRESERVES A SINGLE SOUL OF ISRAEL, SCRIPTURE ASCRIBES [MERIT] TO HIM AS THOUGH HE HAD PRESERVED A COMPLETE WORLD. (Babylonian Talmud, Tractate Sanhedrin, 37a) The fruits of our effort: The battle against spiritual terrorism is being won, one soul at a time!!!

Stay away from the Chrstian "Strong's" as it was based on the King James translation. Strong began by assuming the KJ(P)V translation was correct
and "backed into" the Hebrew. There have been updates to it, but it does seem to still suffer from many of the historical problems.
