Uri: "Since Moses was our greatest prophet, don't you think that he was given the "secret code words" he used in Egypt?"
JD: Uri, who said there is any "secret code words" being used? where is the proof that these words pakod yif'kod et'chem were "secret code words"?
who else knew the secret code words? Joseph's 11 brothers? who did they tell?
make no mistake about it. i believe in Moses and that he's one of the greatest prophets of God. i believe in all that's written in Exodus.
yet there's zero evidence that pakod yif'kod et'chem is a secret code word.
Uri, reading Exodus chapters 3 and 4, can anyone conclude that Moses knew that pakod yif'kod et'chem is a "secret code word"? if so, Exodus 4:1 would mean he's telling God that the "secret code word" is not a code for anything because he thinks that the people will still disbelieve.
i don't think so. simply because i don't read into the text a "secret code word".
it's just my opinion, but this "secret code word" is a weak argument that has no solid proof to back it up.
according to Exodus 4:5, they were supposed to believe, NOT because of a secret code word but because of the 'staff to serpent' Sign. God Says so clearly and explicitly in Exodus 4:5
