I have constantly stated to him to not post videos of judaism and his missionary efforts.
He will not give up so i said i am fine with you living your Christian life just stop saying lies of the jewish people.
He really seems like he wants to convert me, and all the jews.
This is what he sent to me in a message.
(edited to make it easier to read the quote. S.)."Hi. You and I have been having some rather warm to heated discussions about religion, specifically Jesus and His Messiahship or lack thereof. You have stated that Christians bring "mistranslated" versions of "your" Bible to you in hopes of winning you over, and while there is probably some truth to this, the majority of the Bible translations out there that have been around since maybe the late 60's are extraordinarily accurate, and as a matter of fact, I personally, being only a layperson when it comes to Biblical languages have found several blatant mistranslations by Jewish Rabbis and scholars, of THEIR OWN Bible texts.
For instance, almost without fail, Jewish scholars pass up time honored and proven translation methods and translate the Hebrew words for "saved" and "salvation" as "delivered" and "deliverance" This is obviously because they want to do anything they can to distance themselves from the concept of the need not just for a physical deliverance of Israel from their enemies, but of their need for a savior to save them from their sins, and to indeed save the entire world from theirs.
Here's what I propose. I propose that I send you ten proof verses or passages from the JPS Tanakh that show clearly that Jesus is the Messiah, or that clearly spell out "Christian" doctrines. Then, when you have had a chance to review these, you can send a point by point rebuttal explaining why you believe the verses do not support Messianic doctrine. Thanks, Matthew
BTW, one last thing before I go, I find it funny that Jews think that by accepting that Jesus is Messiah, they will in fact be turning against their people and will be joining another religion. I wonder what they would think if someone accused them of being in a different religion or of being traitors because they left the faith that Adam and Eve had after the fall, or because they no longer adhere to the Noahic covenant, or even to the Mosaic covenant? Should Christians accuse Jews of being traitors because they follow the Rabbis, rather than Moses, or Moses, rather than Noah, etc? See what I am saying? To accept Jesus is to COMPLETE your faith, not to be a traitor to it or to join another one. The word Christian was invented by non Christians, there is no "religion of Christianity" there is simply the new covenant in Messiah, Jesus."
