I plan to start weekly counter-missionary lessons on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at 20:00 O'clock (8:00PM) New York City time. These lessons will take place both on the Virtual Yeshiva and on PalTalk.
On the Virtual Yeshiva, the lessons will be held in the private (i.e., not shown on the Home Page) Counter-Missionary Education chat-room (if you are not registered on the Virtual Yeshiva, you will need to do so before being able to logon). On PalTalk, the lessons will be held in the Counter Missionary Education Center chat-room in the Judaism section, which is located under the Religion & Spirituality category (the above link to the chat-room is via PalTalk Express; if you are not registered on PalTalk, you will need to do so before being able to logon and access the chat-room; if you are registered, simply logon to PalTalk and locate the chat-room as indicated).
The counter-missionary lessons are scheduled for a 2-hour period of time, with approximately 1 hour devoted to the formal lesson and the remaining time will be for Q&A. Since each of the chat-rooms on the Virtual Yeshiva has a whiteboard, I plan to show the lesson notes on the whiteboard as we proceed through the session - this functionality is not available in the PalTalk chat-rooms.
Each set of lesson notes will be in the form of PowerPoint slides and available for downloading prior to the scheduled lesson, along with the corresponding detailed articles (which are in the form of PDF-files) on my Counter-Missionary Resources page. (Please wait till the starting date before you access the web page since it will be undergoing some revisions in order to facilitate this.)
Anyone interested in attending these lessons is cordially invited to be there. Please take note that "Rules of Conduct" will be posted, and these will be strictly enforced.
