A messianic that I knew had a very complicated exegesis, deriving off of the Jewish interpretation that Adam was created both male and female. He related this to G-d and the Messiah, and that G-d was metaphorically divided or something like that. Whatever it was, it was very complicated. But he did raise a point that I'd like to hear a rebuttal to. If Adam was created in G-d's image, and Adam was a compound unity, what does that say about G-d? Is this story to be taken literally or is it aggadah?
