Find for us the earliest church-father's teaching possible that unambiguously articulates a very clear view about God, Jesus, the trinity, etc...that mirrors what Protestant Christians believe in today.
If this cannot be done - then the only conclusion to make is that the Trinity wasn't something that was clearly taught and passed down from Paul and Jesus' time. It follows that this concept that most Protestant Christians believe in today creatively evolved over time and is merely another teaching of man and certainly not divinely inspired (reason being, the Trinity shouldn't have to be discovered by later christians who somehow know better than all of the 1st christians).
More importantly, if the modern Protestant view of God/Trinity etc. didn't exist until a much later time, then this is the clearest proof that the god Protestant Christians believe they know today was a god the earliest christians never knew - and worse, a god the Jews never knew and are still correct for rejecting.
So there's your challenge. Prove the concept of the modern Protestant Trinity existed around the 1st-2nd century (and I'm assuming all protestants here at least agree with each other and aren't worshipping or teaching different concepts of the Trinity). Show us this is how the first christians interpreted their texts and that this is what the first christians really believed in.
Happy hunting!
