Hi everyone.
I am taking a class on Church history and my instructor asked if I knew of any books on the oral law. He found my "take" on the validity of the oral law interesting. I really only rehashed things I have learned here and listening to Rabbi Tovia Singer's tape series. Is there from a secular, as well as a Jewish or Christian POV, any books that support or defend that the oral law is necessary to reconcile some issues in the Tanakh or Christian Bible. I used the story of Ruth as an example. I think, perhaps he wishes for something a bit more scholarly. Any help will be appreciated. He is a Baptist, I believe.
Blessings to all of you,
Tony
