Considering Prof. Uri seems very proficient with English anyway I can't see why he doesn't want to do the debate.
On principle, I do not debate in English passages that are in Hebrew since there is always an issue concerning the English translations of such passages. Aside for that, the only thing to debate about passages in the Hebrew Bible is their interpretation. Since the interpretation of such passages by Christians are driven by the biases of Christian theological doctrines and accounts in the Greek Testament, the notion of debating such passages is no longer valid.
The suggestion of debating Dr. Brown in Hebrew was a result of his claims to know the Hebrew language well enough to be able to read and understand the Hebrew Bible. I am not interested in debating a Dr. Brown surrogate, nor am I interested in debating Dr. Brown in Hebrew any longer.
